Kansas City Girls Leadership Institute
This year, we have launched an exciting new program, The Kansas City Girls Leadership Institute.
KCGLI is a high school leadership program that provides enrichment opportunities via leadership development, mentorship, and scholarship. In our first year, scholars will meet once a quarter during which they will receive support and programming around sisterhood and community, access to multiple learning opportunities, and help in building a successful pathway to post-secondary goals! High schoolers will also have access to and opportunities involving college visits, free study abroad experiences, direct mentorship, and college scholarships.
Boys & Girls Club
(But we just call it Girls Club!)
This year we have partnered with Boys & Girls Club (but we just call it Girls Club!) of Greater Kansas City to provide after-school programming for our scholars. This partnership brings enriching opportunities to foster academic success, social growth, and creative exploration for scholars after school and is an important program to help out our families. So far, scholars have had so much fun attending sporting events and hosting family dinners. Together, we’re creating a supportive environment where scholars can thrive, build confidence, and develop essential life skills—all while having fun!
The Mini-Pitch System
Coming Spring 2025!
We're preparing the area on our west side for a fantastic new multi-purpose soccer pitch and playground space! Coming this spring, in time for soccer season!
In partnership with the US Soccer Foundation, we are joining an effort to bring 1,000 soccer pitches to under-resourced communities. These pitches offer the opportunity for people to join together, to engage in team sports and to create healthier, more resilient lifestyles.
The Mini-Pitch System
The Mini-Pitch System modular sports solution is an all-in-one design to help communities create fun and active play spaces for kids and families.
A mini pitch at KCGPA will provide scholars with the perfect opportunity to step outside, stay active, and engage in a variety of exciting games, including soccer, pickleball, kickball, and more!
Our Pitch, Our Way
The Mini-Pitch is a perfect solution for revitalizing abandoned courts and underutilized spaces, transforming them into vibrant hubs where children and families can come together to celebrate teamwork, empowerment, and physical activity. At KCGPA, it will replace our current playground, which poses significant safety concerns.
